Panther project

AUT is a partner of the PANTHER project which was awarded under Erasmus Mundus Action II. The project manages scholarship programmes funded by the European Commission. It is a co-operation and mobility scheme in the area of higher education co-operation launched by Europe Aid Cooperation Office and implemented by the Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EACEA). The project offers PhD, postdoc and staff scholarships for citizens of European Union, Australia and New Zealand. The main objective of the project is to develop research collaboration between the European Union, Australian and New Zealand universities with a focus on engineering and technology. The Programme is open for European Union, Australian and New Zealand citizens only.

The programme is focused on exchange in four research areas:

  • Aeronautics and Astronautics
  • Power, renewable energy and new energy sources
  • Sensing technologies

A.Prof. Josu Maiora Oria from the University of The Basque Country, Spain is a visitor at KEDRI from 5th of May 2018 to 3rd of June 2018.

Dr Teresa Guraya is a postdoctoral researcher from eMERG research group at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Spain. She is a Panther visitor at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) working on Selective Laser Melting with Prof Zhan Chen and will be at AUT from 11th of July 2017 to 10th September 2017 and from 15th November 2017 to 16th of July 2018.
