Vinita Gangaram Jansari

Vinita Jansari is currently doing her PhD under A/Prof Russel Pears and Prof Nikola Kasabov. Her topic of study is “Novel methods for personalised modelling and knowledge discovery for imbalanced data”. She has worked in the IT industry for about six years as a Software Developer focussing mainly on Web Development. She is volunteering for OMGTech!, an organisation that’s aims to give all kiwi kids access to technologies that will shape their futures by hosting a variety of events and workshops around the country.

Vinita is currently working on the implementation of the Personalised Predictive Modelling System in Python as Open Source Software. The system will incorporate various machine learning methods and optimisation methods to optimise the model in terms of both time and accuracy. The system will be implemented on several demo case study data and problems for:

  • Individual health risk prediction
  • Early disease diagnosis
  • Treatment outcome prognosis
