KEDRI Strengthens its Research Links with Leading Universities in Asia
In June, Professor Kasabov, KEDRI Director, gave talks and met with PhD students at 3 universities in China and Malaysia.
KEDRI has already established strong research collaboration with leading Universities in China, Malaysia, Japan and other Asian countries. In June, Professor Kasabov, KEDRI Director, gave talks and met with PhD students at 3 universities in China and Malaysia. First, Professor Kasabov gave his annual talk at the Shanghai JiaoTong University (within the top 3 Technological Universities in China), where he was elected as an Honorary Guest Professor in 2011. He met and consulted PhD students from the Image Processing and Bioinformatics Institute led by Prof. Jie Yang. They also talked about the future of the Tripartite Programme - West China-East China-AUT/KEDRI and planned active collaboration. In July, Prof. Kasabov visited the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute for Automation in Beijing, with which KEDRI has a collaborative project.
On the way back from China, Professor Kasabov gave a talk at the University Tunn Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), where he opened an international conference on ‘Soft Computing and Data Mining’. He also met and consulted PhD students. Currently he is supervising in KEDRI 2 staff members from UTHM.
