The delegation comprising of members of Brazilian Universities, visited the Knowledge Engineering and Discovery Research Institute for a short tour. During their 20 minutes at KEDRI, the group was introduced to the KEDRI team. They were given a brief overview of the main areas of research at KEDRI. Demonstrations on current research were given by PhD students Elisa Capecci, Neelava Sengupta, Nathan Scott, and Vivienne Breen. These demonstrations included complex spatio-temporal brain data pattern recognition, adaptive brain-computer interfaces, and research on the genetic basis of cardiovascular diseases. The visitors were also very interested to learn of KEDRI's research links with University of Sao Paolo and Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
