Visitors to KEDRI in 2022

Tan Ming Xuan Samuel is an international visiting researcher to KEDRI from Nanyang Technological University - NTU Singapore for six months (staring in July 2022). Samuel is a PhD student at NTU and conducting his collaborative research with KEDRI as part of the funded Catalyst: Strategic – New Zealand-Singapore Data Science Research Programme via Data Science Funding and the National Research Foundation, Singapore.
Vice-Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarship Award

Balkaran Singh has been awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarship award for his PhD studies at KEDRI. After finishing his Master of Computer and Information Sciences degree from AUT, Balkaran is continuing his studies at KEDRI and will be working under Dr Maryam Doborjeh, Nikola Kasabov and Dr Zohreh Doborjeh (University of Auckland).

Professor Nikola Kasabov receives the honorary degree Doctor Honoris Causa from Obuda University, Hungary

On 23rd November 2018, at a formal ceremony held in Budapest, the AUT KEDRI Director Professor Nikola Kasabov received the honorary degree Doctor Honoris Causa from Obuda University ‘in recognition for his internationally recognised work in soft computing methods which make him a leading expert in this field’. This is the highest honorary science degree in Hungary. After the ceremony he presented a talk “From Aristotle to AI today”. He was accompanied by his daughter Assia Kassabova, who is working in this field in Switzerland.

Joyce wins AUT Excellence Award

Joyce won an AUT Excellence Award in the category "Individual Professional Excellence". This is the University's premier award for an individual member of staff for the excellent professional achievement and commitment to the strategic development of the University over a number of years.
KEDRI journal paper voted the best paper in prestigious Journal

The editorial board of a prestigious international journal Neural Networks, published by Elsevier, has selected the paper led by Prof Kasabov which includes a team from 4 countries and 6 labs in AUT as the best paper for 2016 published in this journal. Every year the Board selects the ‘best paper biennial’, based on quality of the paper, scientific rigour and impact. The awarded paper enhances the prestige of research carried out at AUT. Prime Minister visited AUT

Research fellow Maryam Doborjeh and PhD student Zohreh Doborjeh presented the advanced neuromarketing system and the NeuCube development to the Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern when she visited AUT University to unveil the plaque and officially open the newest building WZ (31 August 2018).

Zohreh Doborjeh received Dean’s Excellence Award

Zohreh Doborjeh received Dean’s Excellence Award for outstanding performance in postgraduate studies for the year 2018.
